Great series and one of the better books, even though it has continuity issues and major 'secondary' characters die off screen, one on screen. In essence it's a repeat of themes and battles in many other books, but that's okay. The naval fights and the spy vs spy intrigue is what makes this series great.

The book felt rushed, probably because it's a quick read. It's worth reading, and as always, you must read the books in order, or you miss important things.

Triggers: Many secondary characters die, and die with only a line or two. War book, so lots of violence, some horrors of slavery (which is violence, in my book), not much sex, other than sailors getting the pox off camera, and not much music.
