Lucy Kincaid is finally at Quantico taking the New Agent Training for the FBI. Lucy is enjoying her classes and the new friends she has made when she receives a phone call from FBI Special Agent Suzanne Madeaux in New York City. Writer Rosemary Weber has been found murdered. She recently contacted Lucy for information in a case that Lucy and her boyfriend, Sean Rogan, helped with. Though Lucy refused to give Rosemary the information, she is pulled into the murder investigation by one of her instructors, FBI Agent Tony Presidio. Tony believes Rosemary was killed because of a true crime book that she wrote. Tony investigated the murder of Rachel McMahon fifteen-years-ago and believes that her death may be tied to it. He asks Lucy to help him by reading Rosemary's book and wading through the clues.

This story starts with a flashback to the night eleven-year-old Rachel McMahon was murdered. I was immediately pulled into the story. Now the FBI must figure out if Rosemary Weber was killed because of something she wrote in her bestselling book about the McMahon murder.

One thing I like about this series is that characters from past books keep popping up. We met Agent Madeaux a few books ago and I was happy to see her back. She kept the New York side of the story moving while Lucy worked the investigation at Quantico. I think this is the best story in the series so far and am looking forward to the next. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
