I haven't read the first book in this series, so I was missing some of the back story about the characters when I read this one. This book was okay, although not great. I feel like it jumped around too much and tried to throw in too many characters and subplots. It did a good job of capturing the spirit and flash of Vegas, but I don't feel like we really ever get to know that main character, Lucky, very well, even though the book is in first person narrative. We know more about what she does vs. who she is. It has some sweet moments and and some funny moments, so if you are just looking for a light-hearted Vegas mystery, you should enjoy it.
