A Young Adults fiction about an 11 year old boy who is on his own as his father has lost his job and left the family and his mother is suddenly gone from their welfare hotel. He is homeless and on the streets of New York. It's a story of hope and emotion that really is a great read! An American Library Assoc best book of the year!
