I'd recommend the book for YA fiction, but not much more than that. It was a good story, but it wasn't particularly well-written. I felt like I should have red-penned my copy and sent it to the publisher, with a note for Mr. Hunt saying "better luck next time."
The main characters, Molly and Oliver, are supposedly adolescents, however they act as if they are adults! I had to go back and see what their ages were during one part of the book. The rest of the characters are flat, too.
But like I said, the story is good, where the writing fails, your imagination should be able to pick up from. But I think if I saw the phrase "disreputable Stave" one more time I would scream.
