I enjoyed this book. The key is to read it with the right frame of mind. If you are into horror and want to read something that is going to keep you up at night, this is not the one. It was a well written book and very thought provoking. I found myself thinking about what I would do in a lot of situations and that is a new one for me. This was a book that leaned more on the developement of a friendship, not on a true monster terrorizing people. I still prefer the real horror to a thought provoking action story but it was still a good book. As long as you read it with that understanding then you should be entertained to the max. It sort of reminded me of "Monster" by Frank Peretti. Another not so scary but enjoyable action romp.
