A beautiful garden shared by surrounding homes seems like a wonderfully peaceful spot for children to gather, make friends and play. A whimsical sketch furthers the belief. This story shows a darker aspect - one of danger marked by a bench dedicated to the memory of a 15-year-old who died there. Are the children really safe?

Clare and her daughters, Grace and Pip, move here after her husband, Chris, burned their home to the ground. It's a sterile, safe place to recover from the trauma of losing all they had and Chris recovers from his psychotic episode.

Adele and Leo with their three daughters live here, too. Leo's diabetic father joins them while he has surgery to remove a foot. His past links to the death of the dead girl.

Tyler and her mother are have a home here, too. Her mother focuses on the children she serves as a social worker leaving the lonely Tyler virtually abandoned. Her best friend is Dylan who lives with his mother. All the girls adore Dylan and Leo.

The tale takes a bazaar twist when Grace is found bloody, unconscious and half undressed in the garden by her sister, Pip. Who wanted to harm the lovely Grace? The suspects are many as the author builds suspense with many twists and turns. Interesting well written story!
