A novel translated from Japanese. It's a little strange at first, getting used to a different culture and way of thinking. I also found it refreshing to get a non-American viewpoint on the subject matter. Grieving and starting life over anew. No harsh language, but also not prudish, which was a little surprising. It resonated with me because I also lost a much-loved father, who had imperfections like every parent. A pleasant , prettily written read. (I also learned some Japanese terms).
