I got this book through paperbackswap.com after seeing it on some recommended book list. This book is a slim 279 pages but after several months of reading, I'm only on page 99. The few Amazon reviews of this book are mostly 4 and 5 stars (which surprises me) and there are no reviews on paperbackswap. This book is a memoir going back to the author's childhood. I found it to be very boring and slow moving. There is some sense of nostalgia but not enough to keep me going. I seldom give up on a book but I realized today that I simply can't continue to read this.
