Heir to a Desert Legacy was a lot more than I thought it would be. It was a romance but it was also a story of two different people who had faced abuse in their early years. The abuse changed the people and how they reacted to others, standing apart from others who could hurt them again. How love of someone else could help the healing if they let them into their hearts.
