Jennifer Bernard is the first author I reviewed when I started this blog last year. I fell in love with her Bachelor Firemen series and have read all of them multiple times. I wasnt surprised when her newest release, ALL OF ME, started hitting homeruns and scoring big right from the start.

Set in Texas and centering on the minor league baseball team, the Kilby Catfish, ALL OF ME features a cast of lovable but wild baseball players, strong-willed independent women, and quirky supporting characters, all guaranteed to make you smile. The romance is strong and the plot is very believable: hometown girl jilts her rich boyfriend who proceeds to make her life a living hell until a handsome ball player comes to her rescue. Jennifer Bernard tackles the serious issue of Internet bullying with a calm ferocity, using the issue to paint a vivid portrait of her heroine and her slimy ex-fiancé and their past and present dealings, and our hero's issues on the field and at home, all to create a tangled line of conflict that drives the story well.

Supporting characters are fun and well-drawn with some hilarious scenes. There are hints of future books in the series with the introduction of other players and characters that entice us but dont take over a scene. The story stays centered on Sadie and Caleb.

ALL OF ME is loads of fun and Jennifer Bernards best yet. A great beach read this summer or anytime and you wont have to like baseball to love it.
