This was an interesting idea for a new urban fantasy series, but the constant use of "britishisms" (my word for all the "blokes", "fags", "bollocks", "bloodys", "gints",etc.) became very annoying and I'm not from Great Britain and have never lived there. It detracted from what was actually a good story. I'll probably read the next installment in this series to see if the author has learned from her mistakes, but if she hasn't, then I'm not reading any more.
