Daughter of the American Ambassador to Greece, Barrie Lovejoy has been kidnapped from the Ambassador's residence. The terrorists have quickly moved her to an abandoned building in Libya. As luck would have it, there is a U.S. Navy SEAL team training within hours of the site. Led by Navy SEAL Zane MacKenzie, the mission is to rescue Ms. Lovejoy and get out of Benghazi without anyone noticing. Zane finds Barrie beaten and tied to a bed in an empty room. He moves her to another part of the building where they must wait for a signal from the rest of the team. Barrie and Zane grow closer as the long night turns into an equally long day of waiting to rendezvous with his team.

This story is classic Linda Howard. It is a category romance that was written in the 90's and feels a bit dated. Howard's alpha heroes are a little too much for me to take sometimes, but I do seem to easily forgive the MacKenzie men in her books. My rating: 5 Stars.
