A family of convenience...Mike Murphy and his three-year-old daughter, Emma, need a place to live. Susand Adamson needs a housemate to help pay the mortgage. The arrangement seems perfect to Mike---and to Emma, who has already made friends with Susan's dog. Only Susan has reservations, and they've got less to do with having a gorgeous man about the house than with the uneasy feeling that Mike and his daughter are in some kind of trouble.
