Lieutenant Dallas is involved in a horrific slew of crimes against service providers (a chef, an LC, a chauffeur) who are at the top of their careers. The killer is using unusual and rare weapons (crossbow, harpoon, bayonet) to slaughter these innocent people. Eve must decipher the almost non-existent clues and find the killer before he strikes again. As usual Roarke ends up helping with the electronics so he spends more time at Cop Central than he does in his own office. Though believe me I'm not complaining! I love the dynamics between Roarke and Eve. Her snarkiness is legendary and most of her cops just ignore her attitude. She has a very dry wit though she isn't aware that she is being funny. She is just oblivious to life outside of Roarke, murder and Cop Central. These books aren't supposed to be funny but I always find myself laughing out loud at Eve's antics.
