Book Review of Surrender, New York

Surrender, New York

I've liked his other novels, that's why I picked this up. It was an interesting few days of reading but you have the sense while reading it that he's trying to educate you about the problems with forensic science while trying to balance it into an interesting story. In other words, a book written about a cause with the hope you won't notice the story was made up around it. At the end I'm not sure it succeeded in that. Comments on the back of the book call it 'chilling and suspenseful' and a page-turning thriller. It was not that. It was interesting is the best I can do.
