This is by far my favorite story in the vampire chronicles. Such a wonderful story idea - I wish I had thought of it. You don't necessarily need to read the rest of the series to understand this book. It is #4 in the series. It catches up with Lestat not being such a brat for once. He encounters a body theif and well... I don't want to ruin it for anyone. A must read for any vampire lover. Some of the other books in the series aren't really worth a read, but this is the one i would read again and again if it weren't for all the other book on my shelf that crave my attention.
