WOW! If you love the show this is a sure way to love it even more! The story lines and plots are not the exact same but it will give you a better understanding of each character. The books move a little faster then the TV series but you understand why after you read them. Gore and Sex are huge in these, so might not be great for pre-teenagers... but great story all around about what lengths a person might go to find their missing loved ones!
