Kate Furnivall is a great story teller and this book does not disappoint! It is a sequel to the Russian Concubine (inappropriately titled). Lydia against all hope and many circumstances travels to Russia with Alexei and her Cossack to find her father. She is surprised when Chang, her love, shows up in Russia too. Secrets are eventually revealed; hopes are shattered and fulfilled, and there are obstacles from enemies who are acquaintances, and enemies of the state (the Communist government), that are a constant threat. It is a story of how hope and love prevail, even against all odds!
This is a great read and I hope you will add this to your reading list!
