Christopher, a knight and a baron, returns from the Crusades totally disillusioned with the Church, the nobility, and his place in life. Then he meets a peasant girl, young and innocent but burdened with the Sight. The story has interesting opinions on Elves and courage and true nobility. There are many action scenes.
