Andy Carpenter is at his snarky best; he doesn't want to take on the case of Anthony Wasserman (no surprise here). Anthony is the alleged murderer of his stepmother, Rachel Wasserman. Andy knows Mrs. Wasserman because she adopted an aging chow dog from Andy's dog rescue. It also turns out that she willed $2 million to Andy's dog rescue foundation. So, Andy calls his associates, including Sam's team of aged computer whizzes. The group starts looking for anomalies in Wasserman's businesses. It doesn't take long to find that some owners and partners have short lives after Wasserman takes a controlling interest in their companies.

This book starts at a fast pace and keeps moving. I couldn't put the book aside and finished it in one day. This is a fast-paced book with lots of humor. Who could ask for more?
