Book Review of Relativity: The Special and the General Theory--A Clear Explanation that Anyone Can Understand

reviewed on

Understanding the theory of Relativity is one thing. Truly grasping it is something else. I have taken two years of college physics, multiple calculus classes, and can do the math to actually define Einsteins equations. However I have spent years trying to understand the theory both by this book by it's creator, as well as several others. This probably is the easiest way to learn the theory, but if you cant really understand how the speed of light is truly constant at any reference point in a vacuum, dont feel bad, you are not alone ;). I am truly amazed about how many people actually can understand this when I am having such a hard time visualizing it. This is a great book, but the idea 'anyone can understand' might be overstating, at least my UCLA (physics) and Law school education. I guess I just want to say this is a great book, but dont feel bad if you dont understand the theory after the first read through ;)
