The book was a pleasant read with 5 of ERB's varied works. I liked the mix and happily gobbled up his well-loved stories of the characters I had first gotten to know so long ago. His writing style is immediately recognizable, with the mile-long sentences that tend to make me run out of breath. It's just what you come to expect with him, and how he can casually fill you in on the nuances of life on Mars or under the earth's crust, such creative descriptions of the denizens of the deep and races of men on the surface...oh, so creative. No one like him, never again.
