Not my favorite, not my least.
Trent's one of those characters I didn't like at all at the beginning of the series. But there is something about him that appeals and he does change throughout the series. One thing I didn't like in this one, was he was still with Ellasbeth when he and Rachel began "dating." I don't mean to pick, but that's cheating and something I really hate.
I didn't like Rachel as much in this one. She was too angsty and too focused on Trent's body/attractiveness. I got tired of reading about how could he possibly want her, he belongs with Ellasbeth, blah, blah, blah.
I'm not sure how I feel about some of the developments in this one; Ivy, Al, the mystics. I liked the revelation about Newt. Good plot twists and phenomenal writing. I fluctuate between a 3 and 4 for this one (I initially rated a 3, than changed to 4, so how about 3.5?)
