Book Review of Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Bk 1)

Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Bk 1)
justanothersahm avatar reviewed Not Mercy, but definitely worth reading. on
Helpful Score: 3

I can only repeat what the other reviews have said, even if you've read the Mercy series, you will absolutely want to read the short story entitled 'Alpha & Omega' found in the anthology On The Prowl. This story gives you all of the necessary backstory on Anna, how she was abused by her pack, how she met Charles & how they became mates.

If you are a reader of the Mercy series, you will appreciate this one simply for the chance to learn even more about Bran (the Marrock), Charles, Samuel & the pack in Montana.

Be aware that Anna is no Mercy, she does not come out of the gate swinging, but instead is finding her place in life. She was abused for the first 3 years since her Change &, as expected, she is a very tentative character. I think it will be interesting to watch her grow into the "Omega" definition that Briggs has laid out in Cry Wolf.

I will read the next book with hopes that Anna's character will grow, plus I'm hoping that we'll see even more of Bran & the other wolves in his pack.
