I know a lot of people love the Twilight series so I thought I would offer my opinion as well. I've always loved stories about vampires, but this one just made me angry. It took me awhile to pinpoint why. The main character, Bella, is a very weak character. She has no inner strength. She falls in instant love at first sight with Edward and afterward can't function without him.
Its the story of a girl who's entire life is about a boy. I don't believe this is the right message we should be sending to our young girls. There are so many other stories out there, many with vampire love stories for teens, that have a much stronger character then Bella for the female lead.
