Outraged to discover that her boyfriend is married, receptionist Melanie D'Angelo leaves him and quits her job to spend some time alone refurbishing her grandmother's long-neglected cottage. Then landscaper Stefan "Mike" Mikelewski offers his help with the garden. Melanie gratefully accepts, but that's all she wants from him.
