Georgia Senator Will Lee is given a terrific opportunity to make a run for the presidency when he is told by the current Vice President that they would not be campaigning for it. The Run gives a glossed over account of what a presidential run is like from the beginning to Election Day. It's filled with the usual dirty politics and mud slinging as well as a person from Will's past that has a grudge to settle with him.
The book was just an o.k. read for me in as much as I really didn't care for the main character at all and found myself more interested in the assassins story line and actually started rooting for him towards the end.
