I enjoyed this book- the author manages to relate his trainwreck teenage years with a sense of warmth and his funny bone obviously made it through intact. The events he describes may appall and/or shock but you are left feeling that, as dysfunctional as the whole bunch may be, there's a great love binding these people together and when it's all said and done the book is a great example of the saying 'one can get used to anything'. A warning for those who may be uncomfortable with it: there are some very graphic descriptions of homosexual acts.
