Mother's Day: Friday the 13th, Book 1
reviewed About what you'd expect on
Helpful Score: 1

Call me an optimist, but I'd really hoped that this Friday the 13th novel would be good. Good, like better than the F13 movies. Why would I think so? Well, 'cause I'm an optimist, like I said.

But I was disappointed. This novel is OK. It's essentially F13 part, uh, 12 or 13 or something. The writing isn't particularly good, but it's not unreadably bad--there were only two or three spots where I winced.

Basically, it's about what I should have expected from a Friday the 13th novel. Stupid teenagers, fake scares, killer in a hockey mask. After much horror, our heroine destroys Jason forever...or does she?
