I loved Crossing Time (the first novel in this series) and the second did not disappoint. The characters are totally believable and absolutely worth spending your time with. As I mentioned in my review of Crossing Time, it's a complicated story involving time travel and alternate universes (I can't say enough about how expertly the author handles things so that you're never confused).
Lost Time (and future novels in the series, I gather) is shorter in order to break the story up into digestible pieces. That can work well for a lot of readers. I guess I'm so used to a 400+ page novel that the length left me hanging a bit. Lost Time is all about Diego and I missed hearing from Isabel's point of view which I can only assume is in Book #3.
If I had any recommendation it would be to absolutely give this series a try and to stockpile books 2 and 3 so you can read them back to back!
