A great Colonial Romance and a sequal to Cranberry Point. In 1721 Captain Samson Fairbourne writes out his qualifications for an ideal woman, places it in a bottle and sets it in the Atlantic Ocean. Polly Bray, dressed as a man and fishing for her livelyhood, finds tha bottle, is swept out to sea by a sudden wind and is rescued by Fairbourne. The rest of the story is about Fairbourne's quest to prove that Polly is not his ideal woman.
