Due to the nature of this book (3/4 of it being specific information about various programs, fees, etc.), it is largely outdated. The first few chapters (covering accreditation, types of programs, residency requirements, etc.) would be beneficial to anyone new to the college process, however, the information is not very different from what you would be considering if you were physically attending a college (therefore, you could likely find this common information in any library book). Online learning has grown significantly in the last decade so there are many more programs available than what are highlighted in this book. Also, it is worth noting that, although this book is titled "Christian Distance Education," not all of the programs in this books are specifically "christian" - there are a number of secular schools. (Not complaining, just informing as this may not be what the reader is expecting.)
