I Love Julia Quinn's stories. I especially loved this one as it wove through characters and scenes from previous stories. It's almost like watching a tv show as it shows clips from the funniest parts of previous episodes.
The Smith-Smythe musicals are always a source of torture for anyone who attends, and to actually read a story with one of them as the heroine is so great.
That being said, the story itself is also great. The hero and heroine are together often and their banter is witty and makes you see how they fall in love. If you haven't read any prior books, this can definately stand alone.
