Four short stories:
\"Nice N\' Easy\" is about Janey, a model/onetime B-movie actress who dates a different guy each summer just for his house at the Hamptons. She\'s a lot like Samantha from the Sex in the City TV show--Janey knows what she wants & she knows how to get it. (Bushnell later wrote a novel about Janey, Trading Up.)
\"Highlights (For Adults)\" is about James & Winnie Dieke (\"pronounced \'deek,\' not \'dyke\'\"), Ivy League writers whose \"work keeps them busy & neurotic.\" Listen to Candace Bushnell read 10 mins. of this story at Salon.com. Be advised, it\'s explicit stuff.
\"Platinum\" is about a spoiled, anorexic socialite. I couldn\'t even finish this story, she\'s so annoying. (Then again, this book is satire, and you\'re not supposed to like any of the characters.)
\"Single Process\" (the shortest of the stories) is about a writer sent to explore the differences between single life in New York & London. The first line says it all, \"We have a saying in New York: English girls who are considered beautiful in London are merely \'pretty\' in New York, while American girls who are called \'attractive\' in New York are beautiful in London.\"
