A good conclusion to the four-novel series. Definitely read the first three first or you will be a little lost with this one.

Also the backcover description is a little melodramatic. I don't think Lokan ever felt betrayed by Bryn. They both had their secrets they kept from each other. Trusting each other wasn't as much of an issue as the back cover made it out to be. They were working together for the common goal of keeping their daughter safe.

Bryn was adorable and her youth showed. I loved how Lokan found her because of the cookies she baked. I was slightly disappointed in Lokan's character. I thought he was kind of interchangeable with any alpha male hero. There was nothing that distinguished him from others really. But it was still a nice paranormal romance.

The end does come a little quick and abrupt. I think maybe an epilogue revisiting everyone at a later time would have been better. There were scenes with Lokan's brothers and their mates that almost seems unnecessary. They were kind of "no duh" scenes. Yes, we know even the enemies have to work together but exactly what did they need to do together? It seemed like everything really just fell on Lokan and Bryn to do all the work.

But even with all my complaints I thought it was an interesting read and I really enjoyed the series overall.
