A group of stay at home mom's during their kid's naps learn about investing online. Unfortunately , they are careless about bookkeeping and one mom steals $600 intending to pay it back. They get a new member a young widow Jess and she has accounting experience and she picks up the error right away. The thief blames Jess for stealing the money and gets the rest of the mothers support. Rocky the newspaper owner gives Jess a job and she is a great writer until she takes sick leave when her two youngsters get chickenpox. She is threatened by a man in her past, until her son throws a brick and hits him in the head.

Meanwhile a neighbor teen of Gracie's is caught shoplifting. The apple does not fall from the tree. It is this teens mother and not Jess that stole the investor clubs money to cover previous shoplifting by her own daughter.

This was a well written great story.
