Maurey finds himself on a new adventure across the sea to a neighboring kingdom.

He is sought to protect the Princess Eleanor, whose brother has been murdered. The Princess is promised to Maurey's brother, King Dugald, and he would trust only Maurey with her protection. But it seems there is more wickedness afoot and both Maurey and Eleanor must work together to save both kingdoms.

The sequel to NIGHTWALKER may be even better than the first book! I was pleasantly surprised yet again! I do admit to being slightly confused at the beginning of this novel. I was unfamiliar with the characters that were telling the story, but it was soon cleared up and I think I may have enjoyed it more than I did with Maurey's point of view in the first novel.

Johansen continues to impress me with her gift of storytelling. Its likeness is parallel with the first book in its fast-paced plot, compelling characters, and abundance of action. THE WARLOCKS OF TALVERDIN is quickly becoming one of my favorite series.
