Chilling novel - I was on edge a few times whilst reading this book. Anna Franklin takes a holiday to the continent - when she doesn't return home as planned, her loved ones are distraught with worry over what's happened to her. Anna's story is told in two parallel narratives - it's up to the reader to determine which is the real story.

Confusing to me at first, but when I let go and just read I found myself wondering what would happen to Anna in both stories. While the ending did satisfy me to a degree, I'll admit I was wanting a bit more. I loved Dunant's "Birth of Venus" and this was a refreshing change. I'm anxious to check out more of her suspense work.
