This book was both a joy to read and a slight disappointment. On the one hand the love story between Grace and Ethan Quinn is wonderful. The charachters are so homey and familiar and I really wanted the best for both of them. I didn't really like the graphic exploration of Ethan's sexual abuse but I knew going into this series that the Quinn brothers had been abused so it was not a surprise.
The part that I found disappointing was in relation to Seth's story. I finished Sea Swept and jumped right into this one to read more about the story with Seth's mother. It wasn't there, despite the teaser at the end of Sea Swept that the story would continue. Don't get me wrong, Seth is in the book in all his foul-mouthed wonder (the language in this one is toned down some compared to Sea Swept for people who notice such things). However, I don't think it's a spoiler to say the DeLauter woman in only in this book twice, once with a letter and once with a phone call. I have the next two books and I hope there is more continuance of Seth's story in the next one.
