I was told by my niece that I needed to read this book. At first I thought I was a little too old to be reading books on Vampires and things that go bump in the night. But I caved, got the book and started reading it and I couldn't put it down! I found myself carrying the book with me to the coffee shop, reading while standing in line at the DMV, and sneaking a peek while making dinner. It is a well paced story, understandable, not too wordy, not overly scary but still a little nerve wracking to keep things interesting and I am the "cool" aunt since I can discuss it with the local teens with excitement.
I love the visualization I got while reading it. I can see the woods and the rain and feel the damp. I can also understand the first love feelings of the main character, Bella. It's been a while since I was 17 but I haven't forgotten the boy who made my heart flutter for the first time. This book was a wonderful read and as soon as I finished the last page I picked up New Moon, which was already out and waiting for me, and began again.
