These "textbooks" are delightfully fun and quick reads for fans of the Harry Potter series, written by author J. K. Rowling and portrayed as actual books the characters of the series have physically used. This box set contains both small, thin hardcovers in an attractively illustrated holder. In "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", a book readers of Harry Potter will note is a required tome for one of the students' magic classes, dozens of never-before-revealed magical creatures that populate J. K. Rowling's incredible universe are categorized and detailed for one's reading pleasure, and scrawled notes by Harry and his friends, along with revealing footnotes, add layers and background to the grander story told in the main series. Likewise, the history of magical flying and the development of racing broom games are explored in "Quidditch Through the Ages", a copy that looks as if it's come straight from the Hogwarts School Library. All in all, these little books supplement the totally original world Rowling has created, and are a treat for any real Harry Potter fan out there.
