I was surprised as I read this that it was a Love Inspired book. I've read other books by Cynthia Rutledge before, but I don't ever remember them being quite as sexual as this one was. Just a word of warning to those who really like the Love Inspired Series.

I had a hard time believing the characters. One of the main character had three children ages ~25, 16, and 7. While I know this occurs happens (in fact, I know families like this), it's not really the norm, so when there is another family who has children spaced REALLY far apart I found the whole thing a little ridiculous, especially when he tells the other main character that he thinks he wants to have more children (while his oldest child just said that his wife is pregnant - so this guy wants to be a grandfather and a father at the same time).

The writing was so-so, but I found myself questioning it quite a bit, but that may be because I was feeling overly critical because of the aforementioned age thing.

Despite these things I found myself enjoying the book and I thought it was a fairly interesting read. The characters were complex and interesting. There were side stories I thought could have come out more, but over all it was an okay read, it just wasn't what I expected.
