A continuation of the story of warrior vampires fighting to live in a human world where evil stalks them, this story covers Phury - the drug-addicted, tormented twin who has "sacrificed" himself to become the Primale of his species (required to continue the bloodlines of their species) in order that his friend does not have to do so. However, he finds himself drawn to one female only, and as he learns more about what is expected of him and as the attacks by the Lessening Society increase, Phury begins to shake up the foundations of their society and traditions.

As is normal for this series, the hero is quite tormented and this particular heroine is unsure - but they both grow significantly during the story. I find these stories to FLY - they are very hard to put down, so I struggle to find uninterrupted time to read them so that I don't shirk my responsibilities. For those who enjoy paranormal romance/adventure, (and don't mind adult scenes), I recommend this series.
