One of my personally least favorite of Balogh's books. The marriage of convenience part is OK, but the fact that Arabella has to lose weight before her husband really begins to be attracted/love her, annoyed me. More power to her, of course, but I also disliked the hero too much to think well of this story. He's arrogant and uncaring. Plus, he's unfaithful, and I thought Arabella forgave his infidelity a little too quickly.
I much prefer Balogh's A CHRISTMAS PROMISE, where there's a marriage of convenience in which the two protagonists don't like each other very much to begin with, and both have to change before they fall in love. In THE OBEDIENT BRIDE, the hero simply got lucky in that his wife was eventually willing to forgive him (and become a hottie in the process). Ugh.
