On a planet that the three major powers of the galaxy share as a type of United Nations, a prophet has come and rowsed the population. The Enterprise gets involved because of their interest in the the galactic peace, as well as the fact that the prophet is Spock's brother. So begins a quest that will take the Enterprise crew to the core of the Milky Way galaxy and a meeting with...God? The movie sucked, but the book is actually pretty good. Everything is explained better and there is more characterization.
