What a huge disappointment!

I had no problem with the S&M stuff. I was just so bored with the book that I couldn't finish it. The beginning is really slow and it's filled with chapter after chapter of whining. For big, bad vampires, they sure do the "poor me" thing a lot. I thought Vishous naughty thoughts about Butch was actually quite hot, but then I had to read about Phury pining for Bella, and Blay pinning for Qhuinn (which actually wasn't bad), then the Chosen whining about wanting something more than her life, then Vishous whining about his mother, etc... You get the drift. And I really like Vishous in the other books and was really looking forward to reading his story.

I enjoyed all the other Black Dagger Brotherhood books with exception of this one and Zhadist stories. Ironically, both Vishous and Zhadist were some of my favorite characters in the other books. I thought this book was a waste of time but if you are really into this series, you should try to muddle through it. I seriously think Gena Showalter does it better though.
