Very much like the previous 2 books in this series. An immortal vampire (Sebastian) falls for a virginal, Victorian maiden (Amelia) in who's care a piece of a powerful artifact that must be guarded against several evil vampires who would control all of humanity and their vampire brethren. The difference in this one is that there are not one, but two vampires after this particular necklace, and then there's Amelia, who is ever distracted by her simpleton brother, William, who would rather chase cats at midnight but still ends up as the main suspect in the string of vicious, vampire-perpetrated murders that have plagued London.
