If you have read any of NR's past fantasy trilogies, this book is entirely familiar in characters, situation, villians, and the loyal, smart pet dog. There is great comfort in diving back into that Wiccan world. So I am looking forward to the remaining two installments.

So, other than the setting (not in North America or Ireland), there is nothing other than a really great storyteller spinning another good tale that distinguishes this series from her past fantasy trilogies. It's not her worst premise. And many of the details of this setting are fun. You will recognize many of NR's protagonist stereotypes. And we have at least two Irish guys mixing with the 4 Americans.
