I love a book where I can identify with the lead female...and I could definitely identify with having to leave a young child in the care of someone else while you have to go perform a decidedly unwanted task. Unfortunately, I can't say any of mine involved a cruise ship...nor did it mean letting myself take a vacation from my own business that I got to work from my own home. But that is what makes the best fiction. Being able to relate and everything else something you want to experience yourself. and MAN!!! To have the lead male respond the way that he ultimately does....YOWZA. I mean, hello, yes...it's a romance...so you know ultimately it'll all be good. But I got put this guy a step ahead of the rest. If you aren't able to take your own personal cruise at this point in time (or if you need a good read on the one you're going to go on), pick this book up and take it a long for a most enjoyable read.
